Barcelona – A Complete City

Last week, I went on an incredible trip to Barcelona. It was a trip full of adventures, laughs, happiness and surprises. I was blown away by the city, it seems to have everything and more. It’s full of life, there are people everywhere you go and there’s always something to do.

Ryanair, uncomfortable seats, rough landings, but for a cheap price!
First beer in Barcelona with Kimberly and Minna. Actually, it was a “clara” – beer with lemonade. It’s served everywhere and it’s DELICIOUS!
Enjoying the shade in front of Antoni Gaudí’s La Sagrada Familia, an incredible construction.
Starting the audio tour at La Sagrada Familia.
Inside La Sagrada Familia.
In front of the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya.
The view from the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya.
Palau Sant Jordi and Montjuic, where the 1992 Olympics were held.
This is an awful Brazilian singer whose hit song has been playing all over Europe. As a friend of mine said, it’s a good thing I wasn’t running away from his song when I decided to travel. Still, I’m sick of hearing his song, it’s everywhere!
Main entrance of Parc Güell by Gaudí.
Taking advantage of the sun at Parc Güell on an enormous bench, all decorated with mosaics.
View from Parc Güell.
Casa Batlló – another of Gaudí’s works.
Las Ramblas – a huge boardwalk, beautiful and full of people!
A cute restaurant where we had the traditional “menú” – an appetizer, an entrée and a dessert. Delicious.
Plaza Catalunya, everyone gathered to see the demonstrations from the labor strike.
Trying to stay away from trouble at the strike on March 29th.
Spain’s national labor strike.
La Barceloneta – Very cold Mediterranean Sea, but wonderfully sunny and beautiful people!
Good night, Barcelona! And until next time!
